Buhari In Rivers: Vows To Combat Impunity, Corruption If Elected President

The political stakes are getting higher ahead of the 2015 general
elections as former Head of State, General Mohammadu Buhari, stormed Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to continue his state visits.

He was received by the State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and a crowd of APC supporters at the Port Harcourt International Airport.

It was an atmosphere of celebration as Gov Amaechi and his team led a crowd of youths; men and women, to receive General Mohammadu Buhari.

On arrival, the retired General and his team were led to Omagwa Stadium where the party had a rally, during which the APC presidential aspirant told the people that Nigeria needs strong leadership which the APC would provide.

He urged the people of Rivers State to support his vision to transform Nigeria, particularly as he intends to put an end to acts of corruption and impunity.

Owing to his antecedents as a former military Head of State, he presented himself as the right candidate to help Nigeria achieve its desired economic and infrastructural development.

These views were well corroborated by State Governor, Amaechi, who believes that the All Progressives Congress is the healing that the country needs and General Buhari, a competent candidate to administer the procedures.

While the large crowd at the event entertained themselves with party slogans, displaying placards in support of General Buhari, some youths seized the occasion to suggest their expectations, referring to Buhari and Amaechi as the perfect match.
