It is a big risk to deploy 2200 Corps members to Borno State, the Boko Haram Headquarters

NYSC Members
I never will believe that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in their right frame of mind will decide to deploy corps members to Borno State, which in the last 3 years has remained the headquarters of the most deadly terrorist group in the world.

Apologies to the people of Borno State, I do not think you guys need the services of corps members now until the promise of President Muhammadu Buhari to eradicate the Boko Haram terrorist group from the surface of the earth by December 2015 is realised. As harsh as that may sound, that should be one of your punishments for initially harbouring terrorists among you with the selfish thought that they were against Christians.

From the information ABA IS GOOD ONLINE MAGAZINE gathered, a total of 2,200 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members have been posted to Borno State in the northeast for the 2015/2016 deployment.

Mr Suleiman Aliyu, the Borno S‎tate Public Relations Officer of NYSC confirmed this.
''2200 corps members have been deployed to Borno State for the exercise which is scheduled to hold between Wednesday November 25th to Monday December 14th 2015. They had their orientation course in Benue, Gombe and Nassarawa States. However, Katsina will host them this forthcoming 2015 Batch B stream orientation programme,''‎ Mr. Suleiman Aliyu said.

‎Knowing too well that Borno State has been overran by Boko Haram (which according to Global Terrorism Index is the most deadly terrorist group in the world having killed over 6000 people in 2014 alone), I wonder why the NYSC coordinator in Borno State, including the federal government will choose to risk the lives of these young graduates (hope of various families) in a State they barely do not know their way about amidst the deplorable state of security\in the area.

I understand though that the corps members have the right to redeploy after their orientation which will begin today, Wednesday 25th November to Monday December 14th 2015 but I will solemnly advise that maximum security be given to the few who will summon courage to come for the orientation.

The State Governor, Alh. Kashim Shettima must see these corps members as his own children and of course must beef up security in his State so that no soul shall be lost.
