According to a report gathered by Vanguard, Anselm, the son who killed his father was said to have engaged the father in the company of his friends in a hot and terrific exchange of words on issues that are yet to be ascertain.

Anselm allegedly hit the father with a heavy object which left him unconscious.
After hitting the father, Mr Paulinus, to an unconscious state, the suspected murderer, Anselm Ugwuoke took to his heels.

Paulinus was later confirmed dead at a nearby hospital.

While confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Ebere Amaraizu urged members of the public to provide the police with useful information on how to lay hold on the suspect who flee from sight after committing the dastardly act.

“Manhunt for the fleeing suspects have been intensified Just as the suspect’s elder brother, Sunday Ugwuoke, expressed grief and surprise over the death of their father occasioned by the younger brother” the Police Spokesperson revealed.

The continuous sad stories surrounding this year’s Christmas season are heartbreaking. Ranging from the killing of innocent civilians who were protesting in Onitsha to the gas explosion in Nnewi are things worth thanking God for that the challenge did not go this farther than it went.
