Goodluck Jonathan’s Cousin Kidnapped by Gunmen in Bayelsa


Not more than twenty four (24) hours after Governor Seriake Dickson’s sister, Nancy Kemerovo Dickson was kidnapped; another gang of gunmen have kidnapped the cousin to the former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who also serves as a current Commissioner for Local Government Affairs in Bayelsa State.

According to the information we gathered, the kidnapped who is identified as Mrs Otazi was attacked and captured on Sunday afternoon in Ewoi community, Ogbia Local Government Area in Bayelsa State by the abductors.

Police Public Relations Of­fice (PPRO) of Bayelsa State police command, Mr Ansim Butwats accepted that the police has confirmed the incident and is working our strategy to investigate more on the situation so as to know the true identity of the woman abducted at gun point.

However, top security info told newsmen that Mrs Otazi who was abducted by gunmen on Sunday afternoon is a close relative to the former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Exclusive information we gathered told us that Mrs Otazi was not the only one in her vehicle before she was kidnapped. The driver and two females who were in the vehicle together with her were not harmed when the abductors whisked her away to an unknown destination.
The police promised to do everything within their powers to rescue Mrs Otazi.

Most unfortunately, before and after the Bayelsa State governorship election was declared inconclusive in Southern Ijaw by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), there have been series of kidnapping here and there.

Painful of its all that have in recent time thrown the people of Twon Brass into uncontrollable mourning was the death of one well-known business woman and hotelier, Mrs Mudilyn Soukipreye Debo who was strangled to death by her abductors.

The deceased who according to a reliable reporter said that she owns one of the biggest hotels in the coastal community was killed by the kidnappers when their effort to kidnap her proved abortive.
